The Georgia Gwinnett College Office of Athletics is joining with the GGC Alumni Office to start a new Athletics Alumni Ambassador initiative to get alumni athletes more involved in the growing college and its successful athletic programs.

The first Athletics Alumni Ambassadors group includes GGC graduates Lewis Sharpe, representing men's soccer; Jessica (Beasley) Aaron, for women's soccer; Heaven (Hinton) Gower, for softball; Jovanni Cruz, for baseball; and Drew Kramer, for men's basketball.

"This is an exciting new chapter for GGC Athletics as we renew a commitment to engaging our athletics alumni," said Executive Athletics Director Dr. Ian Potter. "We have an incredible group of athletics alumni who have played a significant role in building the foundation of our department and shaping who we are today. Our Athletics Alumni Ambassadors represent that history, and we're excited to have them help us strengthen the connection between our past, present and future."

Each ambassador will work closely with the Office of Athletics to plan athletic alumni events, spread awareness of all GGC alumni events, and nurture relationships between past Grizzlies and current athletics administrators and the college's alumni office.

The group will play instrumental roles in planning the following events (click on the link below to register):
