Georgia Gwinnett College Athletics

Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies

Branding and Licensing

Branding Information

The Office of Athletics was founded in 2012 upon the pursuit of excellence in all endeavors, echoing the mission, vision and core values of Georgia Gwinnett College. Having already captured multiple national and conference championships, the Grizzlies are well on their way in that quest.

All Athletics marks, colors, fonts, and styles must be utilized according to this Identity Standards Guide in a consistent manner to further strengthen the GGC Athletics brand and represent authorized usage. When used properly, these tools positively affect GGC Athletics and its intercollegiate programs.

All marks are registered property. Any usage outside the Office of Athletics requires that the designated registration marks, such as the circle R, be included.

Primary Mark
The primary mark associated with GGC Athletics is the full color "G-Claw." The logo represents the championship standards upon which GGC Athletics have been built. The G-Claw must be used in a bold, consistent manner to further strengthen the GGC Athletics brand and represent proper usage.

Single-Color G-Claw Marks

There are a limited number of alternate G-Claw versions which are permitted. A more thorough guide regarding background usage with single-color G-Claw marks can be found in the GGC Athletics Identity Standards Guide.

Secondary Marks

There are two secondary marks for GGC Athletics, the "Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies Script" and "Forward-Facing Bear Head." They must also be utilized with color and clear zone restrictions like the G-Claw. In certain circumstances, the "Forward Facing Bear" is an appropriate replacement for the "G-Claw" mark.

Retired Marks

The following marks are no longer utilized by the Office of Athletics and should not be used in any other capacity at Georgia Gwinnett College.

Official Colors
Consistent color usage is vital to the GGC Athletics Brand. The Official colors of The Grizzlies are Green and Gray. The accent color is a Gold that appears in the G-Claw, sometimes referred to as "Vegas Gold". This accent color may only be used in proportion to the main colors and should never be used in place of them. The Brown color should only be used in the Bear Head logo.

Color Scheme

These color specifications should never be altered. Due to the inconsistent nature of computer monitors and various applications, always refer to the Pantone number for accurate color reproduction.

Licensing

The GGC Athletics licensing program exists to protect the college's interests in its official athletics marks, ensure that the use of official GGC Athletics marks are done with integrity and consistency, and in line with the standards of Georgia Gwinnett College. In an effort to protect and grow the Georgia Gwinnett College brand, GGC is under a formal licensing agreement with CLC (formerly Learfield Licensing Partners). In order to print or reproduce any items with GGC trademarks such as logos, names and colors, vendors must be licensed with CLC for GGC.

How a Vendor Can Become Licensed
Some vendors may already be licensed with CLC, and must simply add GGC as a school. They can inquire with their current CLC representative about that option. If vendors are not licensed at all with CLC currently, they can find additional information on becoming licensed by clicking here.

Use of GGC Athletics marks without proper license or permission is strictly prohibited, and GGC, along with CLC, will take the necessary measures to protect its trademarks from infringement.

For more information, to request permission to use GGC Athletics marks, or to report unlicensed goods, please contact CLC at 770.956.0520.
