1157Shira Williams, Athletic Trainer

Thanks to a partnership with Source Atlanta, Shira Williams will be entering her 13th year with Grizzly Athletics in 2023-24. As the assistant athletic trainer, Shira is primarily responsible for coordinating staffing and athletic training efforts for all GGC home events and championship tournaments. She's also tasked with coordinating athletic training student interns and the everyday operations in the athletic training room.

A native Mobile, Alabama, Williams joined GGC after graduating from the University of Mobile in May 2012. While in school, she led the Student Athletic Training Education Program and gained experience while working with the men's and women's basketball team as well as with an indoor football team.

Nate Adams, Athletic Trainer

Thanks to a partnership with Source Atlanta, Nate Adams will be entering his first year with Grizzly Athletics in 2023-24. As the assistant athletic trainer, Nate is primarily responsible for coordinating GGC's home events and championship tournaments. He also works with scheduling athletic trainers and communicate with visiting teams.

Hailing from Hartwell, Georgia, Nate graduated from the University of Georgia in 2020 with a double major Bachelor of Education in Athletic Training and Exercise & Sports Science. He is also an alum of Mercer University where he earned a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management in 2022.

 

Amber Corcoran
Amber Corcoran, Athletic Trainer

Thanks to a partnership with Source Atlanta, Amber Corcoran will be entering her second year with Grizzly Athletics in 2024-25. As the assistant athletic trainer, Amber is primarily responsible for coordinating GGC's home events and championship tournaments. He also works with scheduling athletic trainers and communicate with visiting teams.

Originally from Dallas, Georgia, Corcoran graduated Cum Laude from Georgia Southern University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching Health and Physical Education in 2018 from Georgia State University.

Clay Guyann
Clay Guynn

Clay Guynn, DO, is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician who is fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine. Dr. Guynn is an expert in the non-surgical management of various painful syndromes, both new and long-lasting, including musculoskeletal disorders, peripheral nerve disorders, sports injuries and neck/back pain.

He is an avid sports fan and former basketball player. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Stephanie, as well as attending sporting events, traveling, running and spending time with his goldendoodles, Rolo and Reece.

Jennifer Sweigart
Jennifer Sweigart

University of Central Florida, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science with a concentration in Athletic Training. She later attended Augusta University, formerly known as the Medical College of Georgia and received a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She is Board Certified and holds a Georgia License for Physician Assistants. 

Jennifer lives in Gainesville with her rescues, 2 labs and, the latest addition, a tuxedo cat. She enjoys spending time with her animals, visiting family, hiking, reading, home renovations, antiquing and spoiling her nieces & nephews. Jennifer is active in her local church, where she helps with outreach for shut-ins.

Elan Golan
Elan Jack Golan

Elan Jack Golan, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine who specializes in sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions of the upper and lower extremities. A Georgia native, Dr. Golan was an honors graduate at the University of Georgia before earning his medical doctorate from George Washington University and completing his residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City. He completed his fellowship at the prestigious University of Pittsburgh program, where he served as administrative fellow while being mentored by world renowned ACL surgeon, Dr. Freddie Fu.

Dr. Golan grew up playing sports in the metro Atlanta area and is excited to return home to serve his community. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and maintaining an active lifestyle through running, cycling and skiing.

Trent Moore
Trent Moore

Trent Moore, MMSc, PA-C, MS, ATC, is a dual degreed board-certified Physician Assistant and Certified Athletic Trainer, who works out of our Snellville location. He assists Dr. Elan Jack Golan by performing medical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing in-office procedures, formulating and implementing patient-centered treatment plans, educating patients on their pathology, and assisting him during surgery.

Trent graduated from the Emory University School of Medicine Physician Assistant program. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance and Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition from the University of Alabama, and completed his Master of Science in Athletic Training from Florida International University.
