Casey Beaver has earned the final Continental Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week award for the 2025 season.

Beaver batted .467 (7-for-15), drove in three runs and scored three runs to set the table as the Grizzlies closed out the regular season with four straight wins last week. The outfielder from Gainesville, Georgia, went 5-for-8 in a doubleheader sweep at College of Coastal Georgia last Tuesday. She also had four stolen bases in the 13-3 victory during the second game of the day.
The next day, Beaver delivered a go-ahead two RBI single in the ninth inning of the team's 3-1 victory at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Georgia).
Beaver leads the No. 9-ranked Grizzlies with a .385 batting average, 52 hits and 34 stolen bases. The freshman stands second on the squad with 34 runs scored after starting 41 games this spring.
Georgia Gwinnett College (40-8) is the top seed in the 2025 CAC Softball Championship tournament and is scheduled to play No. 4 seed Westcliff University (California) on Thursday, May 1, at the Grizzly Softball Complex, starting at noon. Simpson University (California), the No. 2 seed, and Florida National University, the No. 3 seed, round out the double-elimination tournament. A champion is scheduled to be crowned on Saturday, May 3, and will represent the conference in the NAIA postseason tournament.
