The No. 4-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College softball team is preparing for a 2026 season that features 24 games against 11 opponents featured in the NAIA Preseason Top 25 poll, along with play in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Leadoff Classic at the NAIA World Series site in Columbus, Georgia.
The Grizzlies, led by Head Coach
Kat Ihlenburg, are coming off a 2025 season which had a 48-10 record and matched their deepest postseason run, with a semifinal-round appearance in the NAIA World Series.
2026 SCHEDULE
GGC begins the spring campaign by hosting Montreat College (North Carolina) on February 10 at the Grizzly Softball Complex before home games against No. 24 University of Rio Grande (Ohio), Huntington University (Indiana) and Lindsey Wilson University (Kentucky) on February 13-14.

The eight-game season-opening home stand concludes with a doubleheader against Bryan College (Tennessee) on February 17.
The team travels to the Sunshine State to face two preseason ranked teams, beginning with Keiser University (Florida) on February 19 and then having a three-game series against No. 18 St. Thomas University (Florida) on February 20-21. GGC will have a rematch with St. Thomas in a three-game series March 7-8 in Lawrenceville.
The NFCA Leadoff Classic on February 27-March 1 has the Grizzlies scheduled to play No. 15 Reinhardt University (Georgia), Faulkner University (Alabama), University of Mobile (Alabama), William Carey University (Mississippi), and Freed Hardeman University (Tennessee).
The Grizzlies then will travel to Mobile for games against the Rams and No. 9 University of Science & Arts (Oklahoma) on March 4 before facing No. 23 Saint Xavier University (Illinois) on March 5.

The final ranked opponent will be No. 7 University of the Cumberlands (Kentucky), which is scheduled to come to Lawrenceville for a three-game series on April 3-4.
Other scheduled home games will feature Oakwood University (Alabama), on March 10; Carolina University (North Carolina), on March 21; Tennessee Wesleyan University, on March 22; Cumberland University (Tennessee), on March 31; Brewton-Parker Christian University (Georgia), on April 15; and Thomas University (Georgia), on April 24-25.
The Grizzlies will once again host the Continental Athletic Conference championship tournament, this time on April 29 through May 2.
