It was another successful semester in the classroom this spring for the Georgia Gwinnett College Office of Athletics with 75 student-athletes earning Director of Athletics Honor Roll accolades for having 3.0 or better grade point averages for the 2024 spring semester.

Overall, the department compiled an accumulative 3.09 GPA for the semester and 3.16 GPA for the 2023-24 academic year among student-athletes from six intercollegiate teams. Five teams posted 3.12 or higher GPAs this spring.

Twenty-one student-athletes earned GGC President's List academic honors for achieving perfect 4.0 grade point averages this spring, while another 18 student-athletes earned Dean's List honors for having a GPAs between 3.6 and 3.99 for the semester.

Thirteen student-athletes had a 4.0 GPA for the entire 2023-24 academic year.

Softball had a department-high 17 AD Honor Roll recipients to have a 3.41 team GPA for the spring semester, while women's tennis was close behind with a 3.40 average. Other teams having strong semester academic performances were women's soccer (3.52) and men's tennis (3.30). Baseball and women's soccer each tallied 16 AD Honor Roll selections.

GGC spring sports teams were also successful on the diamond and court this spring, with No. 1-ranked men's and women's tennis winning NAIA national championships, while nationally ranked baseball and softball have advanced to their respective NAIA World Series sites.
