The honor marks the third consecutive season that the women's soccer program has had a player recognized on the All-America team. GGC has had seven All-Americans since 2013.
GGC won a school-record 17 matches (17-4), earned a program-best No. 7 national ranking and collected the program's first NAIA postseason victory to advance to the Round of 16 in the NAIA national tournament. The team also captured the Association of Independent Institutions championship and won eight of its last nine matches, including a victory at eventual national champion William Carey University (Miss.).
Andersson tallied six goals as a defender and was named the A.I.I. Player of the Year. She helped the Grizzlies record a school-record 13 shutouts. Andersson also earned second Google Cloud Academic All-America team honors this season.

Rodriguez earned All-America accolades for the second time in her career after being an honorable-mention choice following the 2016 campaign. The midfielder scored three goals and added six assists in starting all 21 matches for the Grizzlies this fall.
Mertzig ranked second on the team with nine goals and 24 points. Four of her goals were game-winning tallies. The defender earned second All-A.I.I. team honors in 2018.
