Georgia Gwinnett College men's soccer players are beginning to reap benefits from another strong season on the pitch, with a trio earning NAIA All-America team accolades, the national office announced Tuesday, Dec. 4.

Senior defender
Andrew White (middle) becomes the first men's soccer player to earn first-team honors in program history. Meanwhile, sophomore midfielder
Toni Tiente (left) was named to the second team and classmate midfielder
Michael Weber (right) was a honorable mention choice for the second consecutive season.
The GGC men's soccer program has now had nine All-America honorees since 2013 and at least one in five of the past six seasons.
This year's three honorees contributed to the Grizzlies advancing to a Round of 16 appearance in the NAIA national tournament after winning the Association of Independent Institutions championship. The team posted a 12-6-1 record by winning eight straight matches heading into the national tournament site.

White scored three goals and provided four assists in starting all 19 matches for GGC in 2018. The defender was a first All-A.I.I. team selection and was named the most valuable player of the conference's championship tournament.
Tiente had eight goals and 11 assists this season, registering a point in 15 of the team's 19 matches. That stretch included having a point in each of the final nine matches, when the team recorded eight victories. The midfielder also earned first All-A.I.I. team honors in 2018.

Weber tallied 13 points behind four goals and five assists this fall. He scored a goal and added an assist in GGC's 4-0 NAIA Opening Round win at Southeastern University (Fla.).
