Manny Montgomery has earned the final Continental Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week award for the 2025-26 season.
The Bloomington, Minnesota, native had six steals and averaged 4.3 rebounds across the Grizzlies closed the regular season with three victories.

The guard averaged 12.3 points per contest in those late-season games.
Montgomery had 16 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had two steals in a 93-73 win against Voorhees University (South Carolina) last Monday. He closed out the week by scoring 16 points with two more steals in a 94-57 victory against Carolina University (North Carolina) last Thursday.
For the season, Montgomery is scoring 9.3 points per contest and recorded 28 assists and 20 steals. He has made 52.8 percent of his field goals.
Georgia Gwinnett College (23-5) is the top seed in the 2026 CAC Men's Basketball Championship and is scheduled to play a quarterfinal game against No. 8 seed Alice Lloyd College (Kentucky) on Thursday, February 26, in the Convocation Center, starting at 5 p.m. The postseason tournament concludes on Sunday, March 1, at 4 p.m.
