Devontre Chaney has made history as the men's basketball program's first NAIA All-American, garnering second-team accolades in recognition announced by the NAIA national office on Monday, March 30.

Chaney was the 2025-26 Continental Athletic Conference Player of the Year after leading the Grizzlies by scoring at 15.2 points and collecting 9.4 rebounds per game. The guard-forward had 123 assists and 49 steals. That helped GGC have a 25-7 record and qualifying for the NAIA national tournament during its inaugural campaign.
The Lake Wales, Florida, native was selected to the Bevo Francis Midseason Top 100 Watch List by Small College Basketball.
Chaney had a triple-double performance in the program's inaugural game (15 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists), while having an additional 11 double-double games. He scored a career-high 25 points in the CAC Basketball Championship quarterfinal game against Alice Lloyd College (Kentucky). He tallied 24 points in games against Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Marian University (Indiana).
