Successes on the tennis court and inside the classroom have earned Georgia Gwinnett College men's tennis junior
Luis Francisco Sampedro recognition as a second Academic All-America team for the 2025 season, as selection by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization. He also earned second NAIA All-America team honor for the second straight season.

Francisco Sampedro becomes the sixth men's tennis student-athlete to receive Academic All-America honors in a nationwide vote from CSC members. The program has had seven total selections, including one Academic All-American of the Year honoree, while GGC's Office of Athletics has had 43 Academic All-Americans since 2017. The college has had at least one Academic All-American across its six intercollegiate sport teams and at least one selection for nine consecutive calendar years.
Eligible student-athletes need to maintain a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average, have at least of sophomore academic standing, and be in the lineup for 70 percent of the team's matches this spring.
Francisco Sampedro, a psychology major, won 16 singles matches, with four victories across each of three different courts. He added 15 wins in doubles action this spring.
Georgia Gwinnett College (19-3) was the national runner-up in the 2025 NAIA Championships, advancing to the final match for 11 consecutive seasons.
