Georgia Gwinnett College's Office of Athletics achieved the highest collective grade point average for an academic semester, posting a 3.34 GPA during the Spring 2025 semester.
Five teams compiled 3.0 or better GPAs for the second academic semester of the school year. In addition, eighty-one student-athletes were named to the Director of Athletics Honor Roll for having a 3.0 or better GPA in their spring classes.
Twenty-two student-athletes earned GGC President's List academic honors for having a perfect 4.0 grade point average this spring. Meanwhile, another 29 student-athletes were recognized with Dean's List honors for having a 3.6 to 3.99 GPA for the semester.
Softball led the AD Honor Roll list with 18 selections, while women's soccer added 16 honorees and baseball and men's soccer each had 15 recipients.
Women's tennis had a department-high 3.79 team GPA for the semester, followed closely by women's soccer with a 3.69 GPA. For the year, women's tennis compiled a 3.46 GPA, while softball (3.43) and men's tennis (3.39) followed closely behind.
On the playing field/court, GGC's women's tennis team captured its 10th NAIA national championship and ninth straight title last Saturday. The baseball and softball team won NAIA Opening Round Lawrenceville Bracket and Continental Athletic Conference tournaments and are the No. 2 seed in the NAIA World Series brackets when play begins on Friday, May 23. The men's tennis team finished second at the NAIA national championship tournament.
