Georgia Gwinnett College's Office of Athletics continues to succeed academically, posting the highest collective grade point average for an academic semester, compiling a 3.38 GPA during the Fall 2025 semester.
This comes after the department achieved a 3.34 GPA in the Spring 2025 semester.
Seven teams compiled 3.0 or better GPAs for the first academic semester of the school year. In addition, 121 student-athletes were named to the Director of Athletics Honor Roll for having a 3.0 or better GPA in their fall classes.
Thirty-four student-athletes earned GGC President's List academic honors for having a perfect 4.0 grade point average this fall. Meanwhile, another 33 student-athletes were recognized with Dean's List honors for having a 3.6 to 3.99 GPA for the semester.
Women's tennis had a department-high 3.76 team GPA for the semester, followed closely behind by women's soccer with a 3.70 GPA. Softball had a 3.64 team GPA, while baseball achieved its highest GPA for an academic semester with a 3.42 GPA.
Women's soccer led the AD Honor Roll list with 29 selections, while baseball added 27 honorees and men's soccer had 20 recipients.
On the playing field and court, GGC's men's soccer team matched its deepest postseason finish in program history with a quarterfinal-round appearance. The program also won the Continental Athletic Conference title for the first time since 2019. Women's soccer captured its third straight conference tournament championship and eighth overall league title. Men's tennis players swept the NAIA singles and doubles national championships during the fall portion of the season. GGC's men's basketball team is ranked No. 24 and stands 10-4 on the season, while women's basketball stands 8-6 during the program's inaugural seasons.
