The No. 1-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College men's tennis team earned an impressive 4-0 sweep against No. 8 SCAD Savannah (Georgia) on Friday afternoon to begin action in the Grizzly Invitational at the GGC Tennis Facility.
The Grizzlies (7-0) quickly grabbed the doubles point behind victories on the No. 1 and No. 2 courts. Senior

Santiago Villarruel for a convincing 6-1 triumph at the top of the lineup. The NAIA's top-ranked doubles team has won all seven of its matches this spring.

Kamron McIntosh-Ross to clinch the point for the 1-0 dual-match advantage behind a 6-4 victory at No. 2 doubles. The team of senior

Luis Francisco Sampedro collected a 7-5 win on the No. 3 court to round out the strong doubles play.
The tournament's host maintained the positive momentum in singles with three straight-set wins.
Francisco Sampedro doubled GGC's lead, at 2-0, with a strong 6-0, 6-3 victory on the No. 3 court. Garmendia won all 12 games in his singles match on the No. 4 court to collect the team's third point of the match.

Villarruel closed out the match with a 6-2, 6-3 triumph at No. 2 singles.
