Hannah Keeling became the second head coach in Georgia Gwinnett College tennis history in June 2022 and will lead the men's and women's tennis programs into their second decade of existence.
Keeling is familiar with the Grizzlies and the GGC Tennis Facility after serving as an assistant coach from 2018-20. During that time she helped GGC sweep NAIA national championships in 2019 and 2018.
She collected her third straight women's tennis NAIA national title in 2025, defeating Keiser University (Florida) 4-1. Keeling coached four All-Americans with Justine Lespes and Alexandra Melnikova garnering first-team accolades. The Grizzlies posted a 16-2 record. The 2025 squad featured four freshmen along with two seniors and juniors. Keeling guided the men's tennis team to a NAIA national runner-up finish and a 19-3 record. The doubles team of Santiago Villarruel and Jeremias Rocco won the NAIA national title, while Villarruel captured the singles national championship during the Fall 2024 season.
Keeling led GGC sweep the 2024 NAIA national championships, guiding the women's tennis team to a historic 3-1 comeback against No. 2 Keiser University. The Grizzlies recorded three three-set singles triumphs with senior Stephanie Fernandez clinching the national title on the No. 6 court. Then, the men's tennis team completed its 10th straight national championship with a 4-0 victory against Keiser. Keeling led the men's and women's tennis teams to 18-0 records that also featured the 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association indoor national championship.
Alex Gurmendi concluded the 2024 season as the top-ranked singles and doubles player in NAIA men's tennis by the ITA, marking the second straight season he accomplished the feat under Keeling's guidance. Justine Lespes captured the 2023 NAIA Singles national championship at the ITA Cup.
She guided GGC to sweeping the 2023 NAIA national championships with the men's tennis team defeating Tennessee Wesleyan University 4-0 for the program's ninth straight title. The Grizzlies won all four matches in Mobile, Alabama by 4-0 scores. Meanwhile, the women's tennis team picked up a 4-1 victory against top-seeded Keiser University (Florida) for GGC's seventh consecutive national championship and eighth overall title. Keeling led the men's tennis team to a 22-1 record with the women's tennis team posting a 21-1 record in her first season at the helm in 2023.
Five members of the 2023 men's tennis team received NAIA All-American accolades with Alex Gurmendi, Dhakshineswar Suresh and Santiago Villarruel on the first-team list. They joined Aleksa Ciric and Charly Zick as second team and honorable mention All-Americans.
Four women's tennis players garnered NAIA All-American selection with Teodora Jovic, Tereza Koplova and Justine Lespes as first-team All-Americans. Stephanie Fernandez was named to the second-team All-America list.
Off the court, women's tennis' Tereza Koplova was named the College Sports Communicators NAIA Women's Tennis Academic All-American of the Year for her athletic and academic work throughout her career. Koplova won the match-clinching point for the 2023 national championship. Stephanie Fernandez also garnered CSC Academic All-American accolades in 2023.
As an assistant coach, Keeling mentored former GGC women’s tennis players Maria Genovese and Madeline Bosnjak to NAIA singles national championships in 2020 and 2018 at the ITA Cup. Meanwhile, at the same time she helped former men’s tennis player Federico Herrera Duran and current junior Jose Dugo win singles national titles in the fall tournaments.
Keeling earned the 2019 ITA Southeast Women's Assistant Coach of the Year award after helping lead the Grizzlies to a national championship and a 20-1 record.
During her time in Lawrenceville the Grizzlies posted a 117-3 record and 15 All-Americans.
Keeling has been a successful NCAA Division I head coach during the past two years. She led the Georgia State University women’s tennis team to a 17-6 record this past spring, including a 9-1 mark in Sun Belt Conference matches. The Panthers advanced to the second round of the conference tournament. The team’s 2022 performance was a 15-win improvement from the season before she arrived.
Previously, she led the 2021 Missouri State University women’s tennis team to a 12-10 record, an eight-win improvement from 2020, and advanced to the championship match of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament.
Keeling is a former NCAA Division II top-20 singles tennis player and earned four first-team all-conference honors in singles and doubles at Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia from 2012-15. She helped the team reach a No. 4 national ranking during the 2012-13 season.
Keeling has been director of the Stars of the Future program at Ginepri Performance Tennis located at Olde Towne Athletic Club in Marietta, Georgia. She worked with homeschool and high-performance youth players to develop them for playing at the collegiate and professional levels. In this role, Keeling worked alongside Robbie Ginepri, a former No. 15 ranked player among the Association of Tennis Professionals, and Jason Parker, a Women’s Tennis Association/ATP coach.
As a player, Keeling was the top-ranked national junior tennis player in the United Kingdom while playing for Hampshire, England. She supplemented her American collegiate career by spending several years playing in the women’s French national circuit.
Keeling earned a bachelor’s degree in health and fitness management from Clayton State in 2015.
