Women’s Tennis Opens 2026 Season Ranked No. 2 in NAIA Preseason Poll

The Grizzlies won their ninth straight NAIA national title in 2025 and received four first-place votes in the preseason poll
The nine-time defending NAIA national champion Georgia Gwinnett College women's tennis team begins the 2026 spring season ranked No. 2 in the preseason poll, announced following a nationwide vote of coaches.

The Grizzlies, led by first year Head Coach Tom Rees, received four of the 12 first-place votes and tallied 290 poll points.

GGC defeated Keiser University (Florida) in last year's NAIA title match and had a 17-2 record.

The 2025-26 season started with sophomore Diana Ilie reaching the singles final of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association South Regional. Classmate MaryLove Edwards was a semifinalist
