The 10-time NAIA national champion Georgia Gwinnett College men's tennis team begins the 2026 spring campaign ranked No. 2 in the preseason poll, announced following a nationwide vote of division coaches.
The Grizzlies, led by first-year Head Coach
Tom Rees, received three of the 12 first-place votes and tallied 292 poll points.

GGC advanced to the NAIA title match last spring after capturing national championships from 2014-24. The 2025 team had an 18-3 record and won the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NAIA indoor national championship. The team also swept the singles and doubles NAIA individual titles during the fall portion of the 2024-25 season.
The 2025-26 season got off to a successful start as senior
Santiago Villarruel earned singles and doubles individual NAIA national championships at the ITA Cup in October. He is among five GGC players listed in the ITA's current national rankings for singles and doubles.
Senior
Luis Franisco Sampedro stands No. 5 nationally in singles and teamed with Villarruel for the top spot in doubles after winning the ITA Cup title. Senior
Francisco Perez Esnaola is ranked No. 7 after reaching the quarterfinal round of the ITA Cup in his initial fall campaign with the Grizzlies. Freshman
Kanan Gasimov has teamed with Perez Esnaola to stand No. 9 nationally in doubles.
