Georgia Gwinnett College men's tennis junior
Aryan Jit Singh won the 2026 UTR Sports NAIA singles national championship on Sunday evening at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia.
The top seed in the draw defeated Gonzaga Lafarga of Milligan University (Tennessee) 6-3, 7-5. That came after he outlasted fellow GGC teammate
Luciano Larosa in three sets during the semifinal round earlier in the day. Jit Singh won a third-set tiebreaker by a 10-8 score.
"Really pleased with the progress we saw from each guy this week. Each of them has made great improvements from early in the fall to now. Of course it's always great to bring another title back to Lawrenceville," said Head Coach
Tom Rees.
The title is the third national championship received by the Grizzlies during the fall campaign. Sophomore
Kanan Gasimov won the singles crown and senior
Nicolas Philibert and sophomore
Mariano Hasenkopf captured the doubles title at the ITA Cup in October.
The Grizzlies are scheduled to conclude the 2026 fall season by competing in the Georgia State Duals from Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8 in Atlanta.
