Georgia Gwinnett College Office of Athletics staff members and student-athletes have collected Continental Athletic Conference awards for their commendable performances during the 2025-26 athletic year.
Dale Long received the Sports Information Director of the Year honor while Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement
Sarah Singler earned the Charles Morris Administrator Award.
Meanwhile, junior soccer defender
Pedro Alejandro was the male recipient of the A.O. Duer Scholarship and junior baseball first baseman
Jackson Legg received the LeRoy Walker Champion of Character award.
Long completed his ninth season guiding GGC's athletic communications staff. He also serves as the CAC's Sports Information Director.
During the 2025-26 athletic season, Long was the host SID for six of the league's 13 championship events and NAIA postseason tournament games for men's soccer and baseball. He helped promote more than 225 athletic events across eight sports, including Georgia Gwinnett College's inaugural men's and women's basketball seasons, and managed the department's website, www.GGCAthletics.com, that was voted the second best nationally among NAIA programs.
For the inaugural men's and women's basketball seasons, Long gained publicity in the Atlanta Journal Constitution and Atlanta's CBS television station for the Lawrenceville, Georgia-based institutional and the Office of Athletics. The NAIA Hoops Report also featured the GGC's first home games and grand opening of the college's new Convocation Center.

Singler helped promote the college's eight athletic programs in her first year in a new position within the Office of Athletics. Her efforts included promoting the inaugural seasons for men's and women's basketball in GGC's new Convocation Center.
Singler also helped organize special promotional events that brought GGC students, student organizations, faculty, and staff members along with community leaders and residents to attend home athletic events. That included new gatherings of student-athletes that kicked off the 2025-26 athletic year and in early January to build comradery within the athletic department.
Her marketing and fan engagement efforts helped GGC lead all NAIA institutions in attendance for men's and women's basketball.

A.O. Duer Scholarship annually recognizes a male junior student-athlete in any sport who has excelled in scholarship, character and citizenship. Eligible student-athletes must have a 3.75 or higher cumulative grade point average.
Alejandro was named to the 2025 CAC Men's Soccer Champion of Character team for his integrity, respect for others, sportsmanship, servant leadership, and commitment to the values that define the NAIA. He also earned 2025 Academic All-District honors by the College Sports Communicators organization and was named to GGC's Athletic Director Honor Roll.
On the pitch, the San Juan, Puerto Rico, native gained second all-conference team honors and helped lead the Grizzlies to their first league championship since 2019. Alejandro's leadership assisted in GGC advancing to the quarterfinal round of the 2025 NAIA national tournament, matching the deepest postseason run in program history.
The LeRoy Walker Award honors outstanding student-athletes for their achievements in academics and athletics, campus and community leadership, and a dedication to living the Champions of Character's core values. Eligible student-athletes must be at least a junior academically and have a 3.0 or higher cumulative grade point average.

Legg encouraged his teammates on and off the field by making personal connections through servant leadership during his first year at GGC. The Shreveport, Louisiana, native invited a teammate who lived far away from campus to spend time with the Legg family during a holiday break. The teammate felt welcomed and included by Legg and his family.
Legg also demonstrated leadership through having a positive attitude and strong work ethic. He brought high energy and positivity to get the most out of every practice – providing leadership to the nationally ranked Grizzlies by setting an excellent example for others.
Legg was a 2026 CSC Academic All-District team selection and a two-time selection to GGC's Athletic Director Honor Roll.
On the diamond, Legg earned honorable mention all-CAC honors after having a .339 batting average and 60 hits while scoring 51 runs in 57 starts as a first baseman. He hit four home runs and recorded 14 doubles in helping lead GGC to a conference title and appearance at the 2026 Avista NAIA World Series.
