Georgia Gwinnett College junior goalkeeper
Rirei Sasaki has been named a second-team selection on the 2025 NAIA women's soccer Academic All-America team by the College Sports Communicators organization. This special recognition was announced on Wednesday, December 17.

Sasaki was honored for her hard work in the classroom and on the pitch during the 2025 season. Recognized NAIA student-athletes compiled a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average and competed in at least 90 percent or started 66 percent of Grizzlies' matches this past fall.
Sasaki, a business management major, is the 11th Academic All-American in women's soccer program history – tying for second most among GGC's eight intercollegiate programs. The Office of Athletics has had 48 Academic All-Americans and at least one honoree each year since 2017.
The Continental Athletic Conference 2025 Goalkeeper of the Year, Sasaki combined for four of the Grizzlies' six shutouts this past season. She earned first all-conference team honors after starting 17 matches and making 61 saves, helping the team capture the CAC title and record four saves in a home win against nationally ranked Cumberland University (Tennessee) on September 27.
Georgia Gwinnett College's 2025 team posted a 10-6-5 record and advanced to the second round of the NAIA national tournament.
