Women’s Tennis Ranked No. 1 in 2024-25 NAIA Preseason Top 25 Poll

The Grizzlies won their ninth NAIA national championship during the 2024 spring season
After claiming its seventh straight national title, the Georgia Gwinnett College women's tennis team was a unanimous No. 1 choice for the 2024-25 NAIA Preseason Top 25 poll, announced by the national office.

The Grizzlies received all 11 first-place votes and tallied 312 points in a vote among a nationwide panel of coaches.

GGC posted an 18-0 record during the 2024 spring season, culminating with a 4-3 victory over Keiser University (Florida) for the program's ninth overall national championship.
Lespes emotion
Returning players for the 2025 season include senior Justine Lespes and sophomore Versace Gatti.

Lespes was the nation's top-ranked singles player in 2024, as selected by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, after having an undefeated spring season in matches on the No. 1 court.

Gatti registered a straight set win on the No. 4 court for one of GGC's four singles points in the championship match against Keiser.

Georgia Gwinnett College players are scheduled to compete in four fall tournaments, beginning with the Thomasville Invitational from September 4-6 at Thomasville, Georgia.
