Eleven current or former student-athletes culminated their Georgia Gwinnett College careers with the ultimate and cherished reward – a diploma – at the Fall 2024 Commencement ceremony.
Men's tennis had four graduates -
Aleksa Ciric,
Julius Kaufmann,
Vicente Lagos, and
Mihailo Radosavljevic -- while women's soccer had four graduates --
Matilda Johansson,
Aurora Miglio,
Ola Orelesi, and
Pernilla Westergren -- women's tennis had two graduates --
Teodora Jovic and
Iryna Lysykh -- and men's soccer had one graduate --
Aoci Pilipili.
They received their bachelor's degrees December 14 in front of family, friends, teammates, coaches/Office of Athletics office in the brand new Convocation Center on campus.
The women's soccer graduates helped the Grizzlies reached the NAIA Second Round this fall after winning the Continental Athletic Conference title. Meanwhile, the men's and women's tennis graduates were members of multiple NAIA national championship teams.
Orelesi garnered first-team Academic All-American accolades in 2024 and was twice named the CAC Player of the Year on the women's soccer pitch.
Lysykh was a two-time Most Outstanding Player award recipient at the NAIA National Championship tournament on the tennis court.
Lagos won the match-clinching point in the 2022 NAIA National Championship match against Keiser University (Florida). Ciric, Kaufmann and Radosavljevic were members of the 2024 national championship squad, the men's tennis' 10th straight national title.
