A pair of Georgia Gwinnett College women's soccer seniors have been recognized as the final Continental Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week of the 2024 season.
Pernilla Westergren earned the Offensive Player of the Week while
Bre Harvey collected the Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Westergren scored two goals and provided an assist in No. 20-ranked Grizzlies' 7-0 home win against Florida College that closed out the regular season last Tuesday. The Umea, Sweden, native opened the scoring in the 23rd minute. The midfielder then added her second tally in the 67th minute before contributing an assist during the 77th minute.
For the season, Westergren has scored four times and is tied for second on the team with five assists. She has started 16 of the 18 matches she has appeared in during her senior season.
Meanwhile, Harvey was the center back for most of the contest against the Falcons. The McDonough, Georgia, native has had limited playing time as a defender after being a midfielder during most of her senior campaign. Harvey helped the defensive unit limit Florida College to just two shot attempts across the 90 minutes of action.

Havey has started all 18 matches this fall with a team-high 1,255 minutes on the pitch for the nationally ranked Grizzlies.
