Ola Orelesi have been named the first Continental Athletic Conference women's soccer Players of the Week of the 2021 season for their strong performances during the Grizzlies' August matches.

The Continental Athletic Conference has started its inaugural athletic season after being known as the Association of Independent Institutions.
Adame (left), the Offensive Player of the Week, tied a school record with a hat trick in GGC's 5-0 home victory against Brewton-Parker College (Georgia). The midfielder from Lilburn, Georgia, opened the season assisting in both of the team's goals in a 2-0 win against Ottawa University (Arizona) on August 18. She has registered eight points for the season.
As the Defensive Player of the Week, Orelesi has anchored the Grizzlies' defensive unit that has posted two shutouts in three matches. The Grayson, Georgia, native has helped the team post a 0.67 goals against average (allowing two goals in three matches) and 6.7 shots per game.
Georgia Gwinnett College, the four-time defending A.I.I. tournament champions, has a 2-1 record after playing two opponents that received votes in the NAIA Top 25 preseason poll. The team is scheduled to the University of the Cumberlands (Kentucky) tournament, facing the No. 8-ranked Patriots on Friday, September 3, and then Mount Vernon Nazarene University (Ohio) on Saturday, September 4.
