Georgia Gwinnett College Associate Professor of English Dr. Amanda F. Sepulveda, PhD, has been appointed to serve as Faculty Athletic Representative for the Office of Athletics.

Dr. Sepulveda will be an academic mentor to student-athletes in GGC's six intercollegiate athletic programs, as well as providing athletic department administrators, coaches and staff with guidance about the college's academic policies and procedures. She also will represent GGC athletics to the NAIA national office.

A veteran educator, Dr. Sepulveda earned a doctorate in educational psychology from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala. She received a master's degree in English from Auburn, and bachelor's and master's degrees in liberal arts areas from Auburn University at Montgomery.

The GGC Office of Athletics had four teams garner NAIA Scholar-Team status for having 3.0 or higher grade point averages for the 2018-19 school year. The Grizzlies also had five Google Cloud Academic All-Americans from the College Sports Information Directors of America.
