The Georgia Gwinnett College men's tennis team increased its winning streak to 63 consecutive matches following a pair of shutout victories Saturday during the Grizzly Invitational at the GGC Tennis Facility.
The top-ranked Grizzlies defeated Point University (Ga.) 9-0 in the afternoon before earning a 5-0 victory against Bluefield State College (W.Va.) in the evening.
Junior Rafael Coutinho picked up his first victory of the season while playing at the No. 1 singles position against Bluefield State.
GGC has won all eight dual matches during the 2017-18 season in shutout fashion.
Senior Gilad Berman earned a 6-4, 6-4 triumph at No. 1 singles against his Point opponent. Junior Ayed Zatar picked up wins in singles and doubles action in the first match of the day.
Sophomore Sergio Valinotti teamed with freshman Valentino Caratini for an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles against Point. Caratini joined freshman Serge Becerra for an 8-1 win against Bluefield State.
