No. 24 Women's Soccer Wins Program Record Seventh Consecutive Match

Box Score

The No. 24 Georgia Gwinnett College women's soccer team won its seventh straight match – setting a new program mark – in Wednesday's 4-0 victory at Robert Morris College.

The Grizzlies are unbeaten in their last 10 matches and stand 9-3-1 on the season.

GGC scored three second-half goals during a six-minute span to secure the victory.

Junior Lauren Moss got the scoring started in the sixth minute with a shot from 20 yards away from the net.

The lead would remain 1-0 until a barrage of goals midway through the second half. Junior Ana Gonzalez found the back of the net in the 64th and 68th minutes. She registered a hat trick during Tuesday's 5-1 win at Wisconsin's Cardinal Stritch University.

Senior Bristol Countess capped the team's scoring with a goal in the 70th minute.

Sophomore Elisa Randel recorded her first shutout of the season, playing all 90 minutes in goal and stopping two shots.

Turning Point

Leading 1-0 midway through the second half, junior Ana Gonzalez sealed the road victory with the first of her goals in the match. Junior Amanda Yarger sent a pass to Gonzalez who spun and shot it to the far post to give GGC an insurance goal. It started a stretch where the Grizzlies would find the back of the net three times in a six-minute span.
