Sadie McGuinn has become the first Georgia Gwinnett College student-athlete to earn a Continental Athletic Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week award.
McGuinn has been selected as the women's honoree after leading the Grizzlies through the first two races of the program's inaugural season. She had a personal-best 21:36 time over six kilometers to place 44th in last Friday's University of North Georgia Invitational.
The Missoula, Montana, native had registered a top-15 finish in the team's inaugural race at the Young Harris Invitational on September 4.
Georgia Gwinnett College's cross country teams are scheduled to compete in the Brewton-Parker Christian University Invitational on Friday, September 25, in Mount Vernon, Georgia, starting at 5 p.m.
