Georgia Gwinnett College men's tennis players
Gian Durrer and
Kanon Gasimov have received Scholar Athlete recognition by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. They helped the NAIA national champion Grizzlies to earn All-Academic team accolades for the 2026 season.

Eligible Scholar Athletes must have achieved 3.5 or higher grade point averages and teams needed to have a 3.2 or higher collective GPA for the 2025-26 academic year.
This marks the second academic award this season for Durrer after being named a second-team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators organization. On the court, the sophomore was a third NAIA All-America team selection after posting a 15-2 record in doubles matches and an 11-2 mark in singles last season.
Eleven of Durrer's wins in doubles came in matches on the No. 2 court. Meanwhile, six of his singles triumphs were on the No. 4 court. He ranked No. 27th nationally in doubles by the ITA.
Gasimov also was a third-team NAIA All-American after being victorious in all 15 of his singles matches while adding five wins in doubles this past spring. He ranked No. 21 in doubles by the ITA.
