Smashing three homers has led Georgia Gwinnett College junior
Payton Fort to garner the Continental Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week award to close out March.
The Council Bluffs, Iowa, native batted .571 while having three multiple-hit performances in leading the Grizzlies to three victories last week. He drove in nine runs and scored an additional six runs.

Fort hit a pair of home runs to conclude a series sweep at Cumberland University (Tennessee) last Saturday. The smashes marked GGC's first multiple home run game of the season.
The infielder has a .406 batting average and a team-high 40 runs scored this spring from the leadoff spot in the Grizzlies' batting lineup. He stands second on the team with five home runs and 35 RBI.
Georgia Gwinnett College (30-3) is scheduled to host No. 24 Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Georgia) on Tuesday, March 31, at the Grizzly Baseball Complex, starting at 3 p.m. Then, the Grizzlies will host No. 5 Johnson University (Tennessee) in a three-game series from Friday, April 3, through Saturday, April 4.
