Tying a single-game program record at the plate has had Georgia Gwinnett College sophomore
Casey Beaver earning the Continental Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week award.
The outfielder had five hits in the opening game of last Saturday's doubleheader at No. 25-ranked Lindsey Wilson University (Kentucky). She batted .750 (6-for-8) and scored four runs in the two games of the series.

For the season, the Gainesville, Georgia, native is hitting at a .420 clip, with a team-high 42 hits and 24 runs scored. She also has had three triples and four doubles this spring.
Georgia Gwinnett College (12-15) is scheduled to travel to Brewton-Parker Christian University on Tuesday, March 17, in Mount Vernon, Georgia, for a pair of games, starting at 4 p.m. Then, the Grizzlies host Carolina University (North Carolina) on Saturday, March 21, at the Grizzly Softball Complex, starting at 2 p.m. followed by a doubleheader against Tennessee Wesleyan University at home on Sunday, March 22, beginning at 2 p.m.
