Coach's Corner
"The pitchers stepped up. Bella (Teems) was dialed in and showed that she is a valuable member of our pitching staff. Offensively, at no point do we want an inning to end. The energy this team has for each other to succeed is unmatched in the NAIA. They cheer hard for one another, and they believe that we will start a rally with nobody on with two outs and two strikes," said Head Coach
Kat Ihlenburg.
Â
Turning Point
The Grizzlies broke open a 1-1 deadlock with a productive top of the sixth inning to capture the opening game of the road doubleheader. Sophomore
Sophie Sisk put runners at second and third bases with one out following a single. Junior
Savannah Jenkins followed with a clutch go-ahead base hit that brought home freshman
Casey Beaver and Sisk.
