The Georgia Gwinnett College men's tennis team picked up its 14th win of the season in sweeping Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Georgia) 7-0 on Friday afternoon at the GGC Tennis Facility.
GGC (14-2) used strong singles play to secure the home triumph, winning in straight sets on all six courts.
Junior
Luis Francisco Sampedro won all 12 games on the No. 2 court to begin the singles momentum. Freshman
Mateo Larrea also was victorious by a 6-0, 6-0 score on the No. 6 court for the team's third point of the match.
Senior
Jeremias Rocco clinched the dual match, winning by identical 6-1 set scores at the top of the lineup.
Senior
Aleksandr Kalinin registered a 6-1, 6-4 triumph at No. 3 singles before freshman
Kamron McIntosh-Ross collected a 6-3, 6-0 victory on the No. 5 court.

Senior
Andoni Garmendia rounded out the singles winners with a 6-1, 6-1 score on the No. 4 court.
In doubles, the Grizzlies grabbed the point behind a pair of 6-2 triumphs on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts. Francisco Sampedro and Kalinin were victorious at No. 3 doubles before freshman
Gian Durrer and Garmendia gave the hosts 1-0 advantage on the No. 2 court.
Junior
Santiago Villarruel and Rocco teamed for a 7-5 victory at the top of the doubles lineup.
GGC has won both of its matches this week via a sweep. The Grizzlies will face No. 16 Middle Georgia State University for Senior Day on Saturday, April 12, at the GGC Tennis Facility, starting at noon.
