The No. 6-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College softball team was unable to find the key hit in scoring situations and dropped a 2-1 contest to Tennessee Wesleyan University during the program's Senior Day at the Grizzly Softball Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Bailee Phillips connected on a two-run home run in the opening frame to account for the decisive runs for the Bulldogs (7-4).
GGC went 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position in the contest. The team's lone hit came off the bat of senior
Jane Hoover in the bottom of the sixth inning, an RBI single to left field that trimmed the early deficit to 2-1.
Tennessee Wesleyan pitcher Isabella Jenkins scattered six hits and struck out four batters in the complete-game performance for the visitors.

Annalise Jarvis struck out 14 batters and did not allow a hit in 5.2 innings in a relief performance.
