Devontre Chaney and
Brasen James have been named the Continental Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Players of the Week after leading the Grizzlies to a road midweek triumph.

Chaney, the offensive recipient, turned in a dominant performance by scoring 15 points, grabbing 15 rebounds and distributing eight assists. The guard-forward went 9-of-10 from the free throw line in GGC's 85-70 win against Tennessee Wesleyan University last Wednesday.
The Lake Wales, Florida, native had his seventh double-double performance of the season.
Chaney leads GGC by averaging 15.9 points and 10.2 rebounds per contest across 13 games. He also tops the team with 74 assists and 25 steals.
James, the defensive honoree, had three steals and limited his opposing matchup to six points, 16 points below the player's average. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies' guard scored 14 points in the victory.

The Evans, Georgia, native has started all 13 games for the No. 25-ranked team, averaging 7.3 points and recording nine steals for the season.
Georgia Gwinnett College (10-3) is scheduled to compete in the Athletes in Action Christmas Classic in Xenia, Ohio, this week. First is a game against Marian University (Indiana) on Tuesday, December 16, starting at 6 p.m. Then, there will be a second game on Wednesday, December 17, against an opponent to be determined.
