The Georgia Gwinnett College men's soccer team is proving to be winners on the pitch and in the classroom, with six student-athletes from the NAIA Final Site qualifying team being Academic All-District selections, by College Sports Communicators members. The district team was announced on Tuesday, November 25.
Juniors
Pedro Alejandro and
Errin Leak join sophomores
Djordje Djurasinovic,
Gabriel Martins,
Nic Peranitsch, and
Josefa Simao in earning honors for their classroom and athletic successes.

Eligible student-athletes need to have a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average, participate in over 90 percent or start in over 66 percent of all matches during the 2025 season. Alejandro, Djurasinovic and Simao have advanced to the national ballot for Academic All-American eligibility.
Alejandro was a second all-Continental Athletic Conference team selection this fall and was the program's CAC Champion of Character award recipient. He started 16 of the 18 matches he appeared in during the 2025 campaign. Alejandro has provided three assists so far this season and the defender has helped the Grizzlies post eight shutouts.
Djurasinovic also collected second all-conference team honors and stands third on the team with eight goals. The midfielder found the back of the net in GGC's conference championship match victory against Bellevue University (Nebraska), helping the program capture its first title since the 2019 season. Djurasinovic scored four goals in a home win against the University of Pikeville (Kentucky) on September 20.

Simao was another second all-CAC team selection after starting 17 of the 18 matches in 2025. The defender has had three goals and tallied three assists so far this fall. He joined Djurasinovic is being named to the NAIA Daktronics Scholar Athlete list.
Leak found the back of the net in the CAC championship title match and anchored a defensive unit that posted a shutout in last Saturday's NAIA Second Round shootout victory 4-3 against the University of Rio Grande (Ohio).
Peranitsch provided depth to the midfield unit, scoring four goals and providing two assists in 17 matches this fall. He registered goals in victories against Brescia University (Kentucky), Pikeville, Florida National University and Thomas University (Georgia).
Martins is tied for the team lead with six assists and has appeared in 15 matches, with two starts for the nationally ranked Grizzlies. He provided an assist in the match-winning goal against Carolina University (North Carolina) in the CAC semifinal round triumph. Martins had two assists in a regular season match against Pikeville.

Georgia Gwinnett College (10-3-4) is the No. 9 national seed in the NAIA national tournament and has advanced to the final site for the first time since 2022. The team is scheduled to face No. 8 seed Cumberland University (Tennessee) in a Round of 16 match on Monday, December 1, in Orange Beach, Alabama, starting at 2 p.m.
