The Georgia Gwinnett College women's soccer team's five-match unbeaten streak ended in a 2-0 setback at Campbellsville University (Kentucky) on Friday night in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
The Tigers (8-6-0) tallied both of their goals during the second half.
Bethin Boyle was the first to find the back of the net with a score in the 48th minute after receiving a pass from Laura Munoz.
Then, Molly Metcalfe added an insurance goal in the final five minutes.
GGC (6-4-3) had its share of scoring opportunities. Junior
Gabriela Rosas struck the opposing goal post with a shot attempt in the ninth minute. Classmate
Jessica Fuentes placed a shot on goal during the 71st minute. Junior
Salome Deneubourg also had a shot on goal in the 75th minute.

Campbellsville goalkeeper Milly Shakespeare was up to the task, stopping each of those shots to post the shutout.
The Grizzlies will continue their Kentucky road trip with a match scheduled at Lindsey Wilson University on Sunday, October 11, in Columbia, Kentucky, starting at 1 p.m.
