Georgia Gwinnett College's Office of Athletics will be hosting the Opening Round of the NAIA Baseball Championship Tournament, with the 2024 Lawrenceville Bracket scheduled May 13-16 at the Grizzly Baseball Complex. The NAIA national office announced the tournament selections on Wednesday, May 1.
GGC will be one of 10 Opening Round hosts, with the Lawrenceville Bracket champion advancing to the Avista NAIA World Series, beginning May 24 in Lewiston, Idaho.
The Grizzlies have advanced to five straight NAIA World Series, including 2023, 2022, 2019, and 2018 when Opening Round tournaments were played in Lawrenceville.
Georgia Gwinnett College was ranked No. 2 in the latest NAIA Top 25 national poll after completing the regular season with a 44-6 record.
The team will begin postseason play Saturday, May 4, by hosting the 2024 Continental Athletic Conference Baseball Championship on its home diamond, in a double-elimination tournament that continues through Monday, May 6. The CAC's top seeded team is scheduled to play No. 4 seed Florida National University, starting at 1 p.m. College of the Ozarks (Missouri) and Fisher College (Massachusetts) round out the four-team field.
