Men’s Soccer Loses Match at Thomas

Thomas University (Georgia) defender Stanley Hooker found the back of the net in the 80th minute to score a 1-0 home victory against the Georgia Gwinnett College men's soccer team Wednesday afternoon in Thomasville, Georgia.

The two teams battled through an evenly contested first half, with two of their five shots being on goal and each team recording one corner kick.

Thomas (10-3-3, receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll) struck for its lone goal when Hooker received a pass from Diego Azar in the 80th minute.

GGC (5-6-4) had nine shots across the 90 minutes of action, led by two shots each from seniors Diego Milessi, Odin Solheim and Emanuele Sordi.

Sophomore goalkeeper Andreas von Muecke made three of his five saves in the second half.
