A hat trick against the nation's No. 1 NAIA team has earned Georgia Gwinnett College men's soccer senior forward
Karim Tmimi recognition as the Continental Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Tmimi scored three goals as the Grizzlies came back from a 4-1 deficit to tie a match against top-ranked University of Mobile (Alabama) last Wednesday. The hat trick was the program's first since October 25, 2019.

The forward first found the back of the net in the 28th minute to bring the home team within a goal, 2-1. He then scored consecutive goals in the 53rd and 64th minutes to tie the match at 4-4. Tmimi's tying goal came off a free kick when he drilled the shot over the Mobile wall and past the diving goalkeeper into the upper left corner of the goal.
The senior from Poitiers, France, has scored nine goals and tallied at least one point in all eight of the team's matches this season.
Georgia Gwinnett College (6-1-1), ranked No. 10 in the NAIA weekly poll, is scheduled to host Fisk University (Tennessee) on Saturday, October 8, from the Grizzly Soccer Complex, starting at 1 p.m.
