Roadblock

Despite outshooting Thomas University (Georgia) by a 10-7 margin, the No. 24-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College women's soccer team lost 2-0 in a road match Wednesday afternoon in Thomasville, Georgia.

Thomas (5-2-1) scored twice in the first half. A goal in the second minute came from Elesbeth Anderson before teammate Janae Scott added to the scoreboard in the 39th minute.

The Grizzlies (2-3-5) had a 6-3 margin in shots on goal over the host Nighthawks across the 90 minutes of action. Juniors Miranda Robinson and Victoria Watson joined sophomore Clara Lidquist in each attempting two shots for the team.
 
Turning Point
The Nighthawks scored twice in the first half for the only goals of the match. Elesbeth Anderson gave the hosts a quick 1-0 lead with a tally two minutes into the contest. Janae Scott added a goal in the 39th minute to cap the scoring in the match.
