Sophomore
Iryna Lysykh has earned the NAIA National Women's Tennis Player of the Week award after helping lead Georgia Gwinnett College to a road victory against a ranked NCAA Division II opponent.
Lysykh recorded a pair of victories as the Grizzlies swept the University of West Alabama on April 21.

The sophomore teamed with classmate
Selina Pichler to help GGC capture the doubles point with a 7-5 victory on the No. 2 court. Then, Lysykh recorded a straight-set 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles for the team's third point of the match.
She is the first GGC women's tennis player to receive the national NAIA honor this spring. Senior
Valentino Caratini earned the NAIA National Men's Tennis Player of the Week award on March 16.
Lysykh has won her last 10 singles matches to stand 10-1 on the season. She is undefeated in 13 doubles matches with Pichler on the No. 2 court.
Georgia Gwinnett College (13-0) finished the regular season as the NAIA's No. 1-ranked team. The Grizzlies are now preparing to defend its national title at the 2022 NAIA women's championship tournament in Mobile, Alabama, starting on Tuesday, May 17.
