Home-Heavy Schedule Awaits GGC Baseball

The Grizzlies are scheduled to play 36 home games at the Grizzly Baseball Complex, including 15 straight games to open the 2023 season
The nationally ranked Georgia Gwinnett College baseball team is scheduled to play 36 of its 50 games – including 15 straight spring contests – at the Grizzly Baseball Complex during the upcoming 2023 schedule.

The home-heavy schedule includes the Grizzlies hosting the Continental Athletic Conference Invitational (March 11-12) and CAC Showdown (April 14-16) during the regular season before the conference championship tournament comes to Lawrenceville (May 6-9).

2023 SCHEDULE

Featured road trips will have the team traveling to New Orleans and Boston.

0GGC, led by Head Coach Jeremy Sheetinger, was ranked No. 7 in the NAIA Preseason Top 25 Poll after a 2022 season with a 46-16 campaign, winning 37 of its 44 home games, and advancing to the Avista NAIA World Series for the fourth straight postseason and fifth time in program history.

The upcoming season is scheduled to commence with consecutive home games against Indiana Wesleyan University (February 2-4) and a split weekend set against No. 24-ranked Taylor University of Indiana and St. Ambrose University of Iowa (February 10-11).

The busy home February schedule includes Thomas University of Georgia (February 17-18), West Virginia Tech (February 18-19) and a four-game series with doubleheaders against Indiana University South Bend (February 24-25).

GGC's first road game will be a trip to face preseason No. 3-ranked Tennessee Wesleyan University on February 28.

March opens with nine straight home games, starting with a three-game series against Ohio's Lourdes University (March 4-5), single games against Madonna University of Michigan (March 7-8) before hosting the CAC Invitational.

0The Grizzlies will have a rematch against Tennessee Wesleyan for a three-game home series (March 17-18).

Another busy stretch has a three-game series in New Orleans against Louisiana's Loyola University (March 31-April 1), a midweek home game against Middle Georgia State University (April 4), and a weekend series at new CAC opponent USC Beaufort (April 7-8).

The CAC Showdown will feature games against Crowley's Ridge College (Arkansas), Voorhees University (South Carolina) and Florida National University. The last two home games are a doubleheader against Georgia's Brewton-Parker College (April 22) after playing a single game in Mount Vernon, Georgia, the previous day.

The regular season is scheduled to conclude with a trip to Boston for a four-game series (April 28-29) against CAC opponent Fisher College.
