The No. 1-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College men's tennis team has seven singles players and three doubles teams ranked in the first regular season Oracle/ITA NAIA national rankings, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Thursday.
Junior
Federico Herrera Duran is the top ranked singles player, edging out senior teammate
Rafael Coutinho for the top spot. Herrera Duran won the NAIA singles national championship last fall and is 9-1 on the court this spring. Coutinho is undefeated through 13 matches in 2019.

Sophomore
Federico Bonacia is ranked No. 8 nationally in singles after winning 12 of his 13 matches. Freshman
Jose Dugo stands No. 14 and has posted an 11-1 record, including winning the match-deciding point in a 5-4 win at Emory University (Ga.) in February.
Sophomore
Valentino Caratini is ranked No. 27 and junior
Mika Kosonen follows closely at No. 28 in the rankings. Caratini recorded the match-clinching point against NCAA Division II No. 1 Barry University (Fla.) during the team's spring break trip. Caratini is undefeated through 10 matches and Kosonen stands 12-1 on the season.
Senior
Ayed Zatar rounds out GGC's ranked singles players, standing No. 33 nationally.
In doubles, the Grizzlies have three teams placed in the top-10. The Zatar/Caratini tandem has a 7-2 record to stand second nationally. The team won the NAIA doubles national title last fall.

GGC also has the No. 3 doubles team with Coutinho and Herrera Duran, while the team of junior
Gregor Hutterer and Bonacia stands No. 8 nationally with an 8-2 record this spring.
Georgia Gwinnett College is ranked No.1 in the NAIA Top 25 national poll and has won all 14 matches for this season. The program has won 96 straight matches, the longest active winning streak in all of intercollegiate athletics.
GGC is scheduled to host the University of Montevallo (Ala.) in a doubleheader on Sunday, March 17, at 9 a.m. at the GGC Tennis Facility.
