The familiar surroundings of the Grizzly Soccer Complex got the nationally ranked Georgia Gwinnett College women's soccer team back to its familiar winning ways Friday night with a 3-0 victory against Middle Georgia State University.
The Grizzlies (6-1) are undefeated in four home matches this season. The team has not allowed a goal in any of those contests.
The scoring started with senior
Ana Gonzalez tallying her first goal of the season in the 32nd minute. The goal came off a rebound after the Middle Georgia State goalkeeper stopped a shot from sophomore
Gabby Bishop.
The Grizzlies added another goal in the 60th minute when senior
Stina Andersson found the back of the net following a free kick from senior
Lauren Moss. Then in the 84th minute, freshman
Addie Adame scored her first collegiate goal on another rebound.

GGC had a commanding 24-to-5 shot advantage in the match, led by six shots from freshman
Victoria Bischof. She also provided the assist on Adame's late goal.
Junior goalkeeper
Elisa Randel recorded her fourth shutout of the season.
Coach's Corner
"It was anybody's game at halftime. They (MGSU) played in a smart way and they do so many things well that I respect. The second half was a completely different game. We were more athletic and they struggled when we moved the ball. It was good to see our players following up on other's shots," said Head Coach
Dr. Mike Giuliano.
Turning Point
Clinging to a 1-0 halftime lead, the Grizzlies started the second half attempting multiple shots from just outside the 18-yard box. Then in the 60th minute, senior
Stina Andersson got behind the Middle Georgia State defense after a free kick from senior
Lauren Moss. Anderssson's header from the six-yard box found the open net and gave GGC an important 2-0 edge.
