WALESKA, Ga. - Sara Lindell delivered an early lead on Wednesday and a Kelsey Griswold goal line clearance saved the draw as the Georgia Gwinnett women's soccer team tied 1-1 with Reinhardt at Ken White Field.

With the result, the Grizzlies (8-5-2) extended their unbeaten streak out to five matches, and RU's record moved to 12-3-2.

Lindell's goal came less than four minutes into the match as she got her head onto a Tiffany Rodriguez corner kick and directed it past RU goalkeeper Colby LeFever. The tally was the Varmdo, Sweden, native's first of the season and just the second of her career.

Unfortunately for GGC, Megan McCall found the back of the net in the fifth minute to bring things level once more.

The Grizzlies continued to threaten the Lady Eagle goal, and came close on several occasions as the team finished with 21 shots and put 10 shots on frame compared to just eight shots from RU. However, it was RU that nearly tallied the match-winner as Griswold was called into action in the dying seconds of the 90th minute to clear a ball off the goal line and send the match into overtime.

In goal for GGC, Alex Hays took over for Magaly Gutierrez in the ninth minute and combined with Courtney Hicks to hold the Lady Eagles scoreless over the ensuing 101.

The Green and Gray will return to action later this week as the team will play host to Truett-McConnell. Kickoff from Grizzly Soccer Complex is slated for 4 p.m.
