Sophomore
Kendra Delgado found the back of the net in the 83rd minute as the Georgia Gwinnett College women's soccer team scored a 2-1 victory against Bellevue University (Nebraska) on Wednesday evening in a neutral-site battle of Continental Athletic Conference rivals played in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
All three goals scored in the match came during the second half.
Delgado picked a good time to score her first goal of the season when she tallied an unassisted goal that broke a 1-1 deadlock.
The Grizzlies (5-7-1) got on the scoreboard in the 54th minute as sophomore
Barbora Kadlecova buried a shot into the goal after receiving a pass from senior
Jade Perrin. Kadlecova's tally tied her for the team lead with six goals for the season.

Bellevue (8-2-2) tied the match, at 1-1, in the 73rd minute when Prescillia Casu scored on an unassisted goal.
The Grizzlies were efficient with their shots, placing six of their nine shots on goal. Meanwhile, Bellevue had seven of its 17 shot attempts on target during the match.
Junior goalkeeper
Elle Sarter was up to the challenge in the match, recording six saves, including four during the second half.
GGC and Bellevue have played in the championship match of the CAC tournament in each of the past five seasons. Both could meet again when the Grizzlies host the conference tournament again on November 8-10 in Lawrenceville.
Coach's Corner
"We needed a win like this. Things broke our way in the second half. Elle (Sarter) put on a show in front of goal for us. Kendra (Delgado) didn't start the match, but we couldn't take her off the pitch because of the way she was playing," said Head Coach
Dr. Mike Giuliano.
