Sophomore Ibrahima Sissoko knocked in a pair of goals on Friday night to lead the Georgia Gwinnett men’s soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The Grizzlies (8-4) got back into the win column with their third victory in two seasons over the Crusaders (2-11).
Georgia Gwinnett established a 17-3 shot advantage in the game and tallied both of its scores in the opening half.
Sissoko doubled his scoring output for the year with goals in the 19th and 22nd minutes as Ruud Grol and Rene Enang each picked up assists.
The GGC defense kept TTU from mounting scoring opportunities in posting its fourth shutout of the year.
The Grizzlies are now 4-1 away from home this season and are outscoring opponents overall, 25-14.
The win began a five-game road trip for GGC, which resumes action Tuesday evening at Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C.
