Despite leading-scoring Tom Butler’s 20th tally of the season, the Georgia Gwinnett men's soccer team battled Faulkner University to a 1-1 double-overtime tie late Tuesday night in Montgomery, Ala.

The game was GGC's final road contest of the year and second overtime tie as the team's record stands at 13-2-2. The NAIA Eagles finish their regular season at 4-12-2.
In the 71st minute, Didier Atse leveled the score on a deflected cross for Faulkner. GGC goalkeeper Greg Hartley would make six saves on the night as the Grizzly defense yielded only its ninth score in 17 games.

The Grizzlies are slated to return home against Hiwassee College this Saturday at 5 p.m. in Lawrenceville. It will be the final appearance in a Grizzly uniform for seniors Butler, Hartley and Alejandro Duque.
