Ryan Terrill joined the Georgia Gwinnett College baseball coach staff as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the 2024 season.

He has guided GGC to back-to-back semifinal finishes at the Avista NAIA World Series, compiling a 56-7 record in 2025. Under his leadership the Grizzlies have posted the nation's top offensive unit. GGC set a collegiate baseball record with 374 stolen bases, while also establishing a new NAIA record with 452 walks.

In 2024, the Grizzlies were the No. 2 seed at the World Series and defeated IU Southeast and Tennessee Wesleyan to reach the semifinal round. He mentored outfielder Blaze O'Saben to winning the NAIA Baseball Player of the Year award. Terrill has coached 10 All-Americans during his two seasons in Lawrenceville.

Terrill comes to the Grizzlies after holding the same position at NCAA Division I George Mason University (Virginia). The Patriots had a record-setting 2023 season, reaching their first NCAA Regional championship game. George Mason won 36 games and won the Atlantic 10 Conference championship last spring. The 36 wins are the most victories since 2009.

Terrill guided the program’s running game to 164 stolen bases to stand third best nationally. George Mason was also the toughest team in the A10 to strike out in 2023. He helped the team defeat Northeastern University (Connecticut) and the University of Maryland in the 2023 NCAA Regional.

In Terrill’s first season with George Mason finished the 2022 campaign with a 13-11 conference record and qualified for the conference tournament for the first time since 2018.

Terrill has also held coaching position at the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 2019-21. He capped his stint by being the Retrievers hitting coach in 2021 where the offense ranked among the America East Conference’s best in several categories, including first in slugging percentage, on-base percentage and hit by pitches. The team stood second in the league in runs scored and home runs along with a third-place finish in the conference in batting average, doubles, triples, runs batted in, and walks.

In 2020, the Retrievers ranked first in doubles, triples and hit by pitch, while ranking second in hits and third in RBI’s in the COVID-19 shortened season.

In 2019, the Retrievers lead the league with 109 stolen bases, second-most in school history. UMBC ranked second in runs scored, home runs, doubles, RBI, slugging percentage and walks.

Before getting into collegiate coaching he served as the head coach at Riverdale Baptist High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland from 2015-18. He guided the Crusaders to three straight top 10 national rankings, culminating with a No. 1 placement by USA Today in 2018. Terrill finished his high school coaching career with a 125-12 record and 10 of his former players have signed professional contracts. In total, Terrill has mentored 23 former players to play professional baseball.

Terrill played collegiate at Northwest Shoals Community College (Alabama) where he ranks third all-time in single-season batting average. He later went to play at Liberty University and a was a member of the 2003 team that qualified for the Big South Conference tournament championship game.

Terrill is married to his wife Coby and the couple has two girls, Sawyer 7 and Rimini 5.
